hello all, hope you are all well and happy.  we had a lazy sunday here yesterday and I had an overwhelming urge to put paint on paper all day, so after all that had to be done in the house (or as much as!!)  I had an hour to spare before "call the midwife" started on bbc1 last night, new favorite programme, hope it doesn't end soon, anyhoooooowwww I grabbed a sheet of watercolour paper (leftovers) and made myself put down some colour and pencils lines, without thinking about it, and boy was that hard.  I realise I don't create enough because I over think, I think too much about what I am going to do, paint, or make and need to just get on with it, and what happened surprised myself.  I manage to create a little painting and messily done too ( I definitely over think and try to be neat when painting, this is stopping now!!) she/aka green haired girl appeared so quickly on the page and I was done with her layout and coloring in within the hour, result..happy days...........I am definitely painting like that again :)

so I sat down with coffee in hand at my desk this morning waiting on the kids while they fought, shouted and basically killed each other trying to get ready for school (mornings are pure stress here!!)  and I spotted my painted lady from last night, so in a moment of stress and escape I decided I wouldn't just put her away in my folder, I was going to use her, make something of her and make a video................so kids off to school I parked my bottom done and got on with it and this is the result :).............amazing what stress and some get up and go does for ya, hope you enjoy it, first time editing a video so hopefully I will get the hang of it and get to share more, have a great day, hugs xx

p.s   distress watercolouring video didn't happen last thursday as I ran out of the watercolour paper I use for the inks and picked up the wrong replacement one in the art shop....arrgghhhhhh.......will be watercolour paper shopping on saturday ....sorry !

new configuration

hi blog/crafty people, hope you are well and staying warm, it is so cold here, it seems the weather is going backwards and all over the place at the moment.  

I finally finished another configuration, I have created a video instead of taking lots of photos.  I really need to make more of these, I forgot how much I enjoy them, configuration boxes I mean not videos!  although I am running out of space to store any more creations around the house at this stage.... big hugs take care xxx

sophies 8th birthday card and wedding note book

hi!!  I am back with some more makes at last, below is sophie's birthday card which was saturday, created using a magnolia stamp and one of my most favorite paper collections of all time, "romantique" from prima, there are no words for how much I love this paper range, its perfect...in my eyes anyway!

and the next make is a little diary and pen I covered so I can scribble down wedding thoughts, needless to say I didnt do much scribbling!!  off today to finish putting my configuration box together, hopefully I will be back with that tomorrow...if I can keep my bottom in the craft seat long enough!

crafty stuff

..............yes I made stuff......I actually made them before christmas, thought it was about time I shared them :)  I have been going through a shaker stage.  I use to make them all the time, I was fascinated by them.  I don't know how my love for them died off,  maybe I just over did it!!  but it was rekindled, I was so inspired by lollyrot 7, they lovely maria, I got to glitter and glass playing...........and of course I just had to shake a gorjuss girl up too!!!  hugs xx

christmas tag

I am a bad blogger the last while, real life is as mental as ever and making things has just had to be put on the shelf for a bit, I hope now when everything is sorted and ready  for christmas I will have some time to play with my stuff!!  here is a little tag that I made a few weeks ago, betty, karen and myself had a play date and were determined to actually make and start something instead of sitting there chatting and eating cake :)  

we created similar tags, all done with the same technique of debossing and paint scrapping in anticipation and excitement of tim's 12 tags of christmas starting.

todays crafting mission is to try and actually make a card after we get all the rest of the christmas decorations up..........hope it  happens!

grunge album

hello!! hope you are all well, here is the grunge paper & envelope album I created along with the girls of crafting ireland who held their first online ustream class saturday night, I had a brilliant time joining in.  I didn't get all my album finished on the night so I spend this morning sewing and gluing to finish.  hopefully the girls will do more classes soon, just loved it!!  hugs xx

first s'cbgm - the all about me book entry

hello all, this is the first of my pages for the book all about me.  I started this book last year and hadn't done anything to it since, I really needed a push and some motivation and this group did just that, thanks ladies.  rather than creating pages on me and I decided to do them on what I like, which is still technically me!!.  so here is my first official group page and number 4 in my book, looking forward to adding to her every month and seeing all your work too, hope your staying warm and dry during this horrible weather!

high in the snow............

hotpink hoopla shimelle tutorial layout

I finally got to join the lovely shimelle and create a layout.....I have been trying for weeks to find some time to play along with her, so I finally sat my crafty bottom down this morning.  

the title/name of this layout had me sucked in straight away "hotpink hoopla", what a gorgeous word!!!  

I knew what photo I wanted to use once I saw the hot pink, its one of sophie ready for her first dance show, I was out the day of show and I wasn't here to do her makeup, all the little girls had to have loads of bright colours on so the lights would not drain them out on stage............so the job fell to daddy........his poor little heart when I broke the news!!!! wish I was there to see the makeup application!!! but in tropper style the boy did good left alone with all things alien to him and he proudly painted her face!!! definitely one to be scrapbooked!!! so thats the story behind the page.  

I mostly played with sassafrass and cratepaper patterned paper and got to finally use the last of those love elsie stickers I have been hoarding too!!! title alphas are by doodlebug and I punched the bottom strip using my new favorite punch from docrafts, the ribbon  hole punch, how I lived without it before I will never now, I am in LOVE!!! have a scrappy sunday xx

..............yes I am off again!!! gorjuss have released more stamps, cling mount clear stamps, and well I just couldn't help myself!!! they are just to me and cute to be left, I ADORE them!!  got some play time in yesterday and made this little card with the "hand me up to dry" set, she is sooooooooo cute!!!
