Birthday Blues

Woke up this morning another year older, and god did I feel it!! I feel rotten, have a nasty sore throat, my nose and head is stuffed beyond belief and every part of my body is aching (insert tears), but on a brighter note, the kids hopped on me in the bed this morning, armed with smiley faces and happy birthdays stuffing gifts and cards in my face, bliss! So that has made up for it! And I had a fantastic weekend in Tullamore and Athlone, thank you Sandie for putting me up in your home, thanks to all the girls who attend Kelly's surprise birthday crop (happy birthday kelly!!!) great shopping, company and crafting, what more could you want, happy days! Finally finished off with a chinese with Sandie and Deborah and a "geansai" load of wine, and a very hazy memory! Oopppsss

Now its back to my leaba with a cup of Lemsip and piece of terrys chocolate orange!

Thursdays Inspiration

What a morning, I just can not seem to shift this cold and the horrible headaches that are coming with it, so to help it on its way I sat down at my craft desk, in a lovely silent room, bliss (doesn't happen very often!) and worked away with my inks, I got some lovely inspiration from Jackies Blog using a gothic shaped card, one of my favorite types of architectural styles. I intend on owning one of those lovely little gothic style churchs some day and making it into a lovely home, I can dream!!!!!!!!! So in the mean time I will settle for altering gothic style cards!!! LOL! I hope you like it and thanks for looking. Mandy xx

Getting back into it

Christmas and new years have left me wiped out, had a great time, but need to get back to normal now. I finally got to my desk last night to have a play..happy days! After some inspiration, thanks to Tim Holtz's blog and youtube vids, I decided to have a messy play with my inks and distress powders, and I came up with this tag. Need more practice me thinks, but I am happy with it!

At last a LO.............Pink & Black Winged Girlie!

I finally got a LO finished!! Shock!! The pic I used aint that great to be honest, its one that I had given to me after I had sophie, so not my doing (disclaimer hehehehe) I love how the colours turned out, not my usual look, very little distressing, but I am happy with it, I love those Fancy Pants DieCut Wings, need to get more of them!!! LOL!!!! Ok enough chatting about it, I will let it do the talking!!

I am am bit "as high as a kite" because me and DH have a night away in Dublin tomorrow night to see Ocean Colour Scene, child free, hotel and JD flowing!!! Happy days, can't wait! Thanks for looking and hope ya like my LO!!! xxx

Silly season has begun, and I am so busy its not right! There really is not enough hours in the day anymore! So my blog has suffered, god it has been nearly a month! Right plan of action is to finally finish making my christmas cards tonight and get them loaded up here asap, so you all can see that I am still crafting......................just! Look what arrived on Monday!! OMG what a haul of stash!! My new kit from DoCrafts, I nearly kissed the courir!! God I love my new job, woo hoo!! I couldn't believe the amount of stuff. I got a new tote trolley, with matching bag also another tote in a lovely pink and brown, I got way to much stuff to list off! I have been playing ever since! Bliss x

Post Crop!

Had a wonderful day yesterday, got a beautiful double LO done, thanks to Laineys wonderful class, and some much needed retail therapy done, supplied by Annamarie from Scrapbook Store and Linda's shop! We then hit (Lollie, Dewdrop, Sandie and myself) Blancharstown shopping centre for more retail therapy!!! (insert eye roll) Thanks Debs for the yummy M&S cookies for the car on the way home, they were just what the doc ordered, absolutely gorgeous, nearly ripped lollies one from her!

Haven't inserted any pics on my LO yet, so I am going to work on that today, and will post a pic up later. Also going to attempt the Midland Craft Club weekly challenge...so watch this space. Going to need a geansai load of coffee first though! LOL

A Waffle.......

Finished Maura's CJ!!!! I have been looking at if for ages, just didn't have a clue what to do and dreaded starting! So I finally bit the bullet, picked my photos and colours and off I went.......I shocked myself - Out of all the LO's I have done so far, I am very happy with this one and it all came together so well and so easy, just wish I could post a pic of it up now so ya all could see, but, that would ruin the surprise!!! Hope she likes it! Bye Bye xx

Happy Halloween

My favorite time arrived, woo hoo!!! Sweets were at the ready, decorations in full swing, and kids all kitted out. Had a good few trick or treaters, they where greeted by Darth Vader!! And most importantly the kids had a ball! We finished off by driving to Wexford town to watch the firework display, it was something else, really lovely!!

Lost little "Socks"

Yesterday evening my poor baby "socks" was killed on the road. There seems to be a pattern the last few weeks, first george, and now socks. We are all devasted as with all our pets they are part of our family. Can't believe he is gone, he had such a lovely nature.

Todays make, these papers are to die for (aren't they all) They are so gorgeous the pics don't do them any justice! This LO didn't need much as the paper is so beautiful!

Halloween has come early

This is todays make! These papers are to die for I bought them a few weeks ago and they were so yummy I didn't want to use them, coming at them with me scissors was a mortal sin I reckoned! So I went and got another set that I can keep ( I know I know I admit to being a paperaddict!) So this is what happened when I got the scissors and scrappyglue out.

Rugby widow - part 2

Phew! I have one contained in room with his star wars toys and other is down having a nap - exhale! My blackmail notion backfired on me big time, they where bouncing off the walls, maybe I shouldn't have bought those sweets!

In a desparate attempt to bring a touch of France to my day, seeing as OH is rambling around Bordeaux, I bought a lovely bottle of chardonnay (and yes I restrained myself to only buying one), that is as we speak cooling nicely in my fridge and waiting in anticipation for the kids bed time to roll around.....................is it 8 o'clock yet??????
Where at 8pm I will be running at the fridge like a woman possessed with wine opener in tow. So in the mean time I am going to finish off those craft projects I have left scattered all around the place half done! A Bientot!

Rugby Widow

God it has been a week since I last blogged, shame! I have become a rugby widow offically as of 8 o'clock this morning...............he has left me so he can travel to france to see the match, he does deserve it I have to say. Woohoo!!! No only messing, I will miss him and the upside is I can now craft to my hearts content. Not that I am not able to when he is here, it just makes me feel less quilty now that he is gone for a little bit, I can now visit my craft desk without feeling like I have abandoned him alone on front of the telly.

The down side is I have been left alone to control my 2 children & entertain them, am I capable of that??????
I feel some blackmail coming on! Will report back and let you now if I am still of sound mind and body later................but I do doubt it.

Look what arrived......................

Woke up yesterday morning to find a little delivery of kittens in my en-suite!! Ahhhhh!! Jess (mammy cat) set herself up in the basket with not a wimper or peep out of her. We kind of knew she was expecting but only in the last week or so. It was like Santy was after coming, but as much as I love my cats, I can't be the owner of 9 of them now! So, I will have to part with some of them when the time comes, god it is gonna break my heart, will try not to get too attached.

And, yes one of them looks like little "george" so he will be staying!
