all aboard!

finally completed my titanic layout, photo and boarding passes have been on my desk for 3 weeks now.  

we had all headed up to the titanic exhibition in dublin on easter monday for a family day out, it was an amazing and moving experience to see all of the relics they have brought up from the wreck site of this great ship, learn about her passengers and soak up what was truly a once in a life time opportunity, we really really enjoyed it.  so here she is my contribution to her memory.  I tried to make everything look like it sat at the bottom of the ocean for nearly 100 years, so I was happily distressing!

addicted to patterend paper scraps

......I can not stop, everything that has been made at my little desk the last few weeks has been done using my bits from my scraps basket!  deep deep down I think a phobia is starting to develop that is stopping me from cutting up lovely new sheets of patterened paper.....I am long into the stage of buying 2 of each design....one for cutting and one for stroking, but I think I am taking it to far now!

so here are my offerings, here are the quick cards I was working on the other week, all your woywwers out there will have spotted these on my desk, and when I say quick they took no more than ten minutes each, and I made myself not ink a single edge and resist the urge to fire up the sewing machine.  birdie house's are from a papertrey template and I made some atcs too.  these atcs are up for grabs if anyone is interested in doing a swap, just leave me a message.

woyww

'tis another wednesday...I would like to know who is fast forwarding these weeks, since I became truly addicted to snooping at other lovely crafters desks the weeks are just zooming by at full speed...either that or I am getting old rapidly!  I love my little routine each wednesday morning now, thanks to julia the founder of woyww.  I get my post done while having my coffee listening to the kids fighting over the toothpaste and getting uniforms on for school.  

I took a pic from a different angle this week as my desk is well and truly a tip!  I made some butterflies too to pimp up my lamp shade, so I am sharing those with you also.....and you can seethe yummy edward cullen in the background!  off now to get kids to school then back to have a nose at what you ladies are up to this week, hugs m xx

this card is for a very very special person.......a person who gives me strength, who loves me completely, bad bits and all, knows me inside out & upside down, he loves with all his heart,  the best daddy in the world and my best friend.....happy birthday baby, love you xx

desk time

 can not believe how fast the weeks are going!!  its wednesday so that means WOYWW.

firstly I am showing you how I made a box of truffle eggs disappear...............and in one sitting too! yum yum...even though I did go a funny shade of green!  was almost the same shade as "shabby shutters"!!

secondly a few of you lovely ladies wanted to see my pin board......which has mix of stuff, brooches I made , badges, and a pic of our craft god  "tim"................................and finally a pic of the bomb site itself!!!!  I was determined to make quick cards yesterday using only paper scraps and embellishments (excluding my lovely gems!!!) that I never use, so that I had a little stash of cards at hand in the case of an emergency! and I got 4 made, plan on another 4 today!

finished tilda

taadaa!!!!!!!!!! about time, I only started her this day last week!  only for all you lovely WOYWW's were wanting to see her finished I would not have got her done....boy I need that boot up the backside everyweek!
I am going to enter this little lady on the "Just Magnolia" challenge blog this week, they are looking for something punched....and I got happy punching with my leaf punch!

and also over on "Quixotic Challenges", the lovely Elaine is calling for Spring themed,  which is a perfect chance to show off the lovely flowers I got from Elaines shop!

off now to tackle yet more clothes washing as we are having lovely weather here so I have to take advantage of it to get the drying done!

my desk on wednesday

 woyww time of week YAY!!!! there has not been much happening on this desk since last thursday......it has been all go go go here since then with the easter weekend and I squeezed in my first ikea visit too yesterday.....now I am hooked on storage!   I started work on a magnolia stamp and as you can see I got no further than her skin....I am determined to get her on a card today before I head out to madhatters craft club tonight! hugs xx

my new forest friends

I love my new deer friend from the greeting farm, he is just adorable....so reminds me of bambi!  this is my entry for crafty creations this week, the theme is anything goes!

my tim book did not arrive yesterday, I was so dissappointed so fingers and everything crossed that is comes today!  the little lady in the house here has her first appointment with the hairdressers at lunch time today, she is getting a fringe and loads cut from the ends....as there is a daily battle here every morning with her and the hairbrush..that involves tears on both sides and tantrums...so it is a welcomed goodbye to her long hair...for the sake of my sanity!

WOYWW

tis' that time of the week again...cant believe it is wednesday already!..so time for us to share whats on our workspaces!..this lovely weekly blog is put together by Julie, this is my third week taking part.....we all love a chance for a good auld nose at other peoples spaces !!!  I dont have any particular project going on at the moment, just leaving stuff down as I am passing! 

I am excited today as my long awaited delivery of the new book from the god of craft, Tim Holtz, will be here at 3 today!!! can not wait!  hugs xx

new banner..........

***edited to say that I have changed the banner again,  the other one just didnt look right!!!!*** 

and I did it all by myself!!.....well it took me long enough, years to be exact!!!I could not sleep early this morning, so I got up and had some time to sit down and put what I have learned about Photoshop to the test!  I played with layers, masks, opacities, light..... you name it I tried it.....most of it was trial and error, not knowing if what I was doing was right half the time, but I am happy I won against photoshop......I think!!! woohoo at last, I have only been battling it for years but I won today so stick that in your png pipe photoshop!..............quite addictive too, I am liking my newly found digital status so I am going to brave it again! {{hugs}}xx

 

gorjuss LO

finally finished the LO that you saw on desk, I have also finished my little bird house, but I have yet to take some pics of this!

I dont want to add a title just yet to this..still working on that one.  and as you can see if you look at the pic in post below I had a gorjuss girl all coloured in and ready to be placed on a card, but when I saw her  lying over my LO I just had to add her and she works, really happy with her on this!  and as mentioned below I scraplifted cos I just didnt have the mojo to create anything by myself layout wise, I think it was from a LO over on Studio Calico, when I find a link for this LO I will post it up!

I got some happy news that I won a little easter candy too, so I am looking forward to recieving this!  hugs peeps xx

WOYWW

me again! ................sharing my work space today....this is it in all its state, I have 4 projects on the go at once....the little wooden ball thing in background is going to become a doll, I have a LO to finish.....this will be my first LO since before christmas...and I scrap lifted because I could not think of what to do with it!  I also have a bird house started..in template form and another gorjuss card!  my mission is to get at least 2 of these 4 things done by the weekend! wish me luck! do pop over and check out Julias blog, the lovely creator of WOYWW! hugs xx

crafty creations time of week...

the weeks are just flying by....I am a bit more organised and creative this week so I got my challenge card done on time!! I know I even shocked myself...so there ya go! do swing by to see the what the other lovely ladies created!

hanger..

had a lovely morning over with the girls at my friend Karens house, we played, ate, played and ate some more!  I made this little hanger for my hall.....also I will be entering this into the weeks challenge over on the lovely GingerSnapsCreations, they called for  Copper, Ginger or Rust! 

stamp something...owl tag

I sat down to make a baby girl card today and this happened......how I do this I do not know!  when I have something to do I can never do it and always go off on another tagent altogether!!!....anyways I like this little fella, hooked on making these owls......and I got to play with my paper artsey stamps again, they have been neglected the last while, I do love them, they are my favourite stamps...next to Gorjuss of course!


so I thought I would enter this into this weeks challenge over on stamp something.....distressed is what they are looking for....and I think I have covered that one with this little fella!


off I go now so I can get started on the baby girl card I should have done this morning!  also have a LO started which is spread out all over the floor here...................frodo keeps coming in and parking his bottom all over my treasured Sassafrass papers...bold pooch!

thursdays craft playing

 

Lil' Feathered Owl......the lovely Neasa had found a tutorial by RoxyCar on YouTube showing how to make these, I just couldnt resist!  now I am happily hooked! :)  thank you Neasa!!!

had a play with some corregated cardboard, acrylic paint, embossing powder and mica powders and these happened.......finished off with a brad...they were soooooooooo quick too!!!!!!!! going to make a batch load of these when I get time in different colours!

 

taa daa!!!!!!!!!...................I finally finished the cover on my sketch book!....it has only been sitting on my desk since before christmas screaming at me to cover it, poor thing!! So I used a plain cream coloured cotton (dont know what the correct term for this fabric is......but it was cheap as chips!) the polka dot green fabric is remnant from one of my daughters old tshirts, lace is from my stash, and felt flower is from fancy pants, I stamped with distress ink my ART letters and then went over them to define them with some brown thread on my sewing machine, and as you can I see I was getting carried away with the sewing machine cos I made the flower stalk and leaves too!

 and I finally figured out what HTML code I needed to create the new side bar on the left hand side of my blog, something I dont want to try again, well not for a while anyway! I was dizzy going through it all on blogger LOL!!!! but thankfully it worked first time around, thank god, and I am delighted with it! easily pleased eh!

anywayI have to go as I have a date with a hoover, mop & bucket before I have to meet mr washing machine again at lunch time so I have to get cracking, I hope you all have a lovely craft filled fun weekend, hugs xx
